Friend of Singer D4vd Arrested on Warrant Tied to Teen’s Death

In the latest update in the murder of Celeste Rivas’ case, D4vd’s friend
Neo Langston was arrested for an active warrant. Langston, known by his streamer name NeoTheAsian, is not charged with murder but was apprehended in Montana on his mother’s ranch for an out-of-state juridisticion warrant for an ongoing case in Los Angeles. The streamer is the latest person pulled into the ongoing speculation of artist D4vd’s role in the 2025 death of the teen.

Neo Langston Extradited to LA

On Thursday, January 22, D4vd friend Neo Langston booked into the Lewis & Clark County Jail in Montana for failure to appear in court as a witness on several requests. On Friday, January 23, Langston is en route to Los Angeles after his court appearance. Even though arrested in Montana, law enforcement assisted the Los Angeles Police Department with an ongoing investigation with the Robbery-Homicide Division.

There is no confirmation that D4vd’s friend avoided a court case tied to the “Think About Me” artist case. Still, based on the evidence, including their friendship, the timing, and the same LAPD division working the case, there are many cross-connections in both cases. The Robbery-Homicide division responsible for capturing NeotheAsian is also leading the investigation into the death of Rivas.

Neo Langston’s next court date is not scheduled; he was released on $60,000 bond the morning of January 24, according to the LA Times.

The D4vd–Celeste Rivas Timeline

If you are unfamiliar with the Celeste Rivas murder case and the artist D4vd connection, get ready to take notes and play true crime detective. A timeline of what has happened so far in the Celeste Rivas murder case.

Back in April 2024, Rivas’ family reported her missing. A copy of the official missing person flyer is available on crimetimelines.com. In September 2025, the body of the teen was found in a Tesla in an impound yard after workers smelled the decomposing odor. Police later identified the Tesla registered to the “Romantic Homicide” singer, and no one reported the vehicle as stolen.

Once the story became public and linked D4Vd, he canceled the rest of his tour dates and pushed back his album release, all while transferring his Texas home under his mother’s name. With help from the teen mother’s mother’s description to TMZ, photos, and live-stream screenshots from social media, the teen was linked to a relationship with the artist.

In November 2025, details were released about how Rivas’ body found dismembered and severely decomposed, as well as further information on her body transported, which put the artist at the top of the LAPD suspect list.

Grand Jury Scrutinizes D4vd Circle

Currently, D4vd has not been arrested or charged for murder, but a grand jury convened in Los Angeles for the case started meeting in December 2025. His manager, Robert Morgenroth, and the president of the company, Zara Brothers Travel, and a record label executive were first in the first round of people in the hot seat. According to TMZ, details of Morgenroth’s court hearing spilled into the hallway, and he was defending his decision to complete the tour rather than call the police.

“He said — referring to Beth Silverman, the deputy D.A. presenting the case before the grand jury — “She was very pushy on why I didn’t call the police.” “He went on to recount how he responded — “I said I feel like I didn’t have the responsibility to do that, and just wanted to continue with the tour.”

Josh Marshall D4Vd, another manager, is also under the microscope because he is an owner of the record company Mogul Vision, and his name is on the lease for the house police raided early in the case surrounding Celeste Rivas.

Rivas Case Moves Forward

The arrest of Neo Langston is another puzzle piece in the developing case. Again, no one has officially been arrested for the homicide or foul play involving the murder of the California teen. Particular details of Riva’s death are sealed by court order, but the grand jury is getting closer to getting the answers and peace her family deserves.
