American Horror Story Stars Evan Peters and Jessica Lange Reunite for Greatest- Hit Season
A new season of “American Horror Story” season 13 will start filming soon, and several fan favorites will return, including Evan Peters and Jessica Lange. Ryan Murphy, one of the creators behind the TV show “American Horror Story,” is known for assembling an all-star cast and is already setting the tone for the next season. Information about the plot of AHS13 has not been released yet, but with news confirming the mother-son duo’s return, fans are already making the new season trend.
Evan Peters Teases AHS Reunion
This week, in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday, January 16, the “Kick Ass” star, explains why he is returning to the television series “American Horror Story” again, “First of all, it’s working with Ryan again, but second of all, he’s assembled the cast from all the different seasons,”.
“The Beauty” star goes on to talk about his excitement about reuniting with past castmates,
“It’s sort of an alumni, and we’re all getting back together to do this greatest-hits season. So we’ll see what he writes and what it brings. But just the chance to be able to work with Sarah, Jessica, Kathy, Angela again and everybody involved. I’m interested to see what the scenes are and how it all plays out.”
AHS Legends Reunite Again
Evan Peters and Jessica Lange starred together in the first season of “American Horror Story: Murder House” in 2011, and several seasons after, before Lange’s departure in 2015, Peters followed suit with his exit in 2019. Both actors crushed fans’ hearts when they announced in past interviews that they would return to the “American Horror Story” franchise
When asked by the Hollywood Reporter if he was surprised that Lange is returning, Evan Peters’ response was, “Yes! Yeah, Ryan knows how to have those dinners. He will get you in a second. I was definitely shocked, but thrilled, honestly.”
AHS13 will begin filming next month, in February, in New York and New Jersey. Returning cast joining Peters and Lange for the upcoming season include Angela Bassett, Billie Lourd, Emma Roberts, Gabourey Sidibe, Leslie Grossman, Sarah Paulson, and Kathy Bates. New to the cast for “American Horror Story” season 13 is Ryan Murphy’s “Scream Queen” alumna Ariana Grande.
Ranking American Horror Story Seasons
Until the new season of AHS, watch the past 12 seasons of “American Horror Story” currently streaming on Hulu. If you are unfamiliar with AHS, it is a horror anthology TV series, meaning each season is a different story. You do not have to watch the seasons in order, but it helps because some seasons cross over or feature recurring characters. For example, Sarah Paulson’s character Cordelia Goode appears in season 3 “Coven and in season 8 “Apocalypse”.
According to Rotten Tomatoes the top five seasons with the higest score is season 9 “1984” with a score of 88%, season 3 “Coven” with a score of 85%, season 2 “Asylum with a score of 84%, season 10 “Double Feature” with a score of 80% and at number five is season 8 “Apocalypse” with a score of 79%.
Unfortunately, AHS season 5, “Hotel,” starring Lady Gaga, has the lowest score on Rotten Tomatoes at 64%. But you be the judge and decide which American Horror Story season is the best and which season could have been kept in the vault.
The Next Must-Watch FX Series
If you need something else to watch besides AHS to witness the magic between the “Nip Tuck” creator and “X-Men: Dark Phoenix” actor, watch Peters in the upcoming Ryan Murphy FX TV series “The Beauty”. “The Beauty” will premiere on FX and stream on Hulu January 21.
