How to See the Exclusive Preview Of The Odyssey

Starting December 12th, the extended trailer will be shown before 70mm IMAX screenings of the films Sinners and One Battle After Another. This special prologue is designed to showcase the grand scale of The Odyssey, which was shot entirely with IMAX cameras, making the 70mm format the optimal viewing experience.

An Epic in the Making

Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey is an ambitious adaptation of Homer’s epic poem, which tells the story of Odysseus, the King of Ithaca, and his treacherous, decade-long journey home after the fall of Troy. The film is slated to premiere on July 17, 2026, and boasts a star-studded ensemble cast that is characteristic of a Nolan production.

The cast includes Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, and many more. Tom Holland, who is set to play Odysseus’s son, Telemachus, has already praised the project, calling the script the “best script I’ve ever read.”

This exclusive IMAX preview offers the first real glimpse into Nolan’s vision for the ancient tale, promising a visually stunning and immersive experience that the director is renowned for. The decision to release an extended look in premium formats underscores the filmmaker’s commitment to creating a true theatrical spectacle.
