Daily Devotion Wednesday Wisdom with Total Apex Media | December 3, 2025

It’s Wednesday, and time for your daily devotion. As we wind down Psalm 34, let’s take in all the wisdom it offers. David’s been talking about the blessings of the righteous in stark contrast to the cutting off of the wicked. David goes further in verse 17, as he describes the intimate relationship of those who walk with God:

17 The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

In today’s daily devotion, give praise to your God who hears and delivers you from trouble.

The Righteous Cry

Who are the righteous? They are the sons of God. His grace has saved them, and they’re walking in obedience to His word. They have an intimate relationship with God because they’re in fellowship with Him. And He hears them when they call. A good parent loves their children and keeps them under their watchful eye. It would be unlike a good parent to leave their child unattended.

In the same manner, God is watchful over His children. When they cry, He hears them because He is so close. You might say, “I don’t feel His presence.” In your daily devotion, begin praying and seeking His presence with a sincere heart. He reveals Himself to those who seek Him.

The Lord Hears

The Lord hears because of His proximity. He is omniscient, meaning He’s everywhere present. This attribute belongs only to Him because He is God alone. Remember, God breathed the breath of life into man, and that breath continues in you. Therefore, you’re always connected to Him. Saul hotly pursued David multiple times. Yet God watched over David, protecting him from harm. Declare, in today’s daily devotion, that God is near you at all times.

He Delivers Them

There are many stories in Scripture of God’s mighty acts of deliverance. A fascinating one is the story of the three Hebrew boys who’d been taken into Babylonian captivity. One day, they learn the king has erected a golden statue that everyone must bow down to and worship. This is to take place intermittently whenever the music stops.

They refuse to bow, so they’re reported to the king. He gives them one last opportunity, or they’ll be thrown into a fiery furnace. They don’t sway, so they’re thrown in. Then they’re seen walking around in the fire along with a fourth Man. Amazed, the king orders them to come out. To everyone’s shock, the fire didn’t affect them. The king immediately makes a decree in Daniel 3:29 that no one is to speak against the Hebrew boys’ God because “there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.” Praise God in today’s daily devotion that the same God who delivered the three Hebrew boys is your God, too.

Out of All Trouble

If the Lord can deliver three individuals from a fiery furnace that had been heated seven times hotter than normal, He can certainly protect you in your time of trouble. There’s no need to worry or doubt. Jesus taught the multitudes not to even worry about their necessities. Why? When you have a God who’s able to bring you out of all trouble, why should you? The Greek word for all is all. Rejoice in today’s daily devotion; your God can deliver like no other.

Final Word

In your mid-week daily devotion, celebrate the deliverance of your God. You may not be hunted by a bloodthirsty king like David or thrown into a fiery furnace by an idolatrous one. Whatever your troubles may be, rest assured, God can deliver you from them all
