Co-directed by Eilish and Academy Award-winning filmmaker James Cameron, the film captures her sold-out Hit Me Hard and Soft world tour. The film is also being distributed by Paramount Pictures in partnership with Interscope Films, Lightstorm Earth, and Darkroom Records. On November 24, 2025, Eilish made the announcement on Instagram during her final tour stop in San Francisco. Describing the tour as one of her favorites, she additionally expressed excitement over working with Cameron.

The film was shot during her performances, including a notable four-night run in Manchester, England. It was there, when she first teased the collaboration with Cameron, hinting at the use of 3D technology. Overall, the film tastefully enhances Cameron’s cinematic prowess, while showcasing Eilish’s narrative. The tour ran from September 2024 to November 2025, visiting Oceania, Europe, and North America.
