Frozen 3 & 4 Cast Locked Into Monumental Deals as Stunning Salaries Surface
The magical kingdom of Disney has given the world countless cinematic masterpieces throughout the decades. Some of these films include “Cinderella,” “The Lion King,” “Beauty and the Beast,” and “Dumbo.” One of its modern hits is “Frozen,” based on Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Snow Queen.” It is a tale of sisterly bonds, self-acceptance, true love, and magic.
Currently, there are only two “Frozen” movies, which critics and fans deem successes. But, somewhat surprisingly, a third and fourth film are on the way. The cast has been decided, with their salaries revealed to the public. Interested in discovering how much these stars will be making in these flicks?
A Tale of Two Sisters
“Frozen” follows Elsa and Anna, two royal sisters from the fictional kingdom of Arendelle. After their parents tragically pass away, Elsa must take up the mantle of ruler. Everything goes well until she accidentally unleashes her magic and casts Arendelle into perpetual Winter. Anna resolves to bring her sister home so she can reverse this snowbound disaster. Ice deliverer Kristoff, his reindeer Sven, and the living snowman Olaf soon accompany her.
The beloved characters return for another insane adventure in the sequel, “Frozen 2.” Elsa ends up awaking elemental spirits that attack Arendelle, forcing all to evacuate. To resolve this, the protagonists travel to the mist-trapped Enchanted Forest. They soon discover the truth regarding their family and the reclusive Northuldra tribe. Elsa also learns the origins of her powers and her place in the world.
“Frozen” Stars’ Salaries for New Movies
“Frozen 3” and “Frozen 4” are currently in development at Disney. The company’s already signed on key actors Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, and Josh Gad. Sources reveal each star received a deal worth over $60 million. Meaning these three celebrities could make around $30 million per movie. Their agreements also include all back-end bonuses stemming from the movies’ financial success.
With these deals, Bell, Menzel, and Gad are some of Hollywood’s highest-paid single-role actors. Among these illustrious rankings are names like Will Smith, Tom Cruise, and Robert Downey Jr. Coincidentally, these high-paying arrangements reveal how greatly Disney values the Frozen film series. You can even call them gambles since reception for sequels is often shaky. Let’s hope these new additions impress everyone once they hit theaters.
Final Thoughts
I honestly have no clue how I should feel about the new “Frozen” movies. On one hand, I’ve been a fan since the first flick and welcome new additions. But, in my opinion, the overall story felt concluded after the second one.
However, I must admit the clean state could work in Disney’s favor. The moviemakers could create new ideas without relying on loose ends from the previous installments. And whatever they come up with might surpass anything seen before in the film series. I guess we’ll find out what they do once “Frozen 3” debuts in late 2027.
