Daily Devotion Monday Motivation with Total Apex Media | November 24, 2025
Happy Monday! It’s time for your daily devotional. As David admonishes all believers in Psalm 34:9, there’s a cautiousness to his tone. He knows that on one side of his charge are great benefits, yet on the other side is disaster.
9 O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.
In your daily devotion, learn that to fear the Lord is to reverence and honor him.
Fear the Lord
Scripture commands us to fear the Lord. For God’s sons, fearing the Lord isn’t just obligatory. A Holy God is to be reverenced and worshipped as a lifestyle. Proverbs 9:10 says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” Contrastingly, those who don’t fear Him are unwise.
David was a man of God; as a type of Christ, he served as shepherd, king, and priest. Like Jesus, he was anointed with the oil of gladness when he danced before the Lord. As a psalmist, David penned hundreds of psalms that magnified God.
However, David wasn’t perfect and had times of weakness and disobedience. Yet he repented and regained God’s favor. David’s fear or reverence for God led him back to God’s forgiveness. Praise God in your daily devotion that you will always fear the Lord.
You His Saints
God’s saints include the whole family of believers on earth and in Heaven. It’s not a title of superiority. It identifies you as sons of God. In 1 Peter 2:9, God’s saints are called chosen, holy, royal, and peculiar (God’s possession). Like David, you’re imperfect in the flesh. However, when you fall short and repent, God’s grace and mercy are there to pick you up. As a saint, you are forgiven and restored.
In Psalm 30:1, David extols God for lifting him. Praise God in today’s daily devotion that God has lifted you too.
Have No Wants
David knew about shepherding. As the sheep’s provider, he took care of them. He led them to green pastures and still waters. As David matured, he said he’d been young and then old, but had never seen the righteous forsaken by God. As a saint, your Provider is always with you.
He knows what you need before you ask. David confesses to no lack with the Lord as his Shepherd. Say out loud in this daily devotion that, as God’s saint, you are well cared for.
You Who Fear Him
David includes all who fear the Lord. When you fear God, you put your life in His hands. You’re committed to Him. You’re a devoted and faithful saint of God who worships, prays, and serves Him. You are the righteousness of God in Christ. This is not by your own merit, but it’s by God’s grace through faith.
Joseph was a man known for his God-fearing nature. He was sold as a slave by his brothers and taken to Egypt. Wherever he served, he became a blessing because he feared God; therefore, God was with him. When he served in Potipher’s house, he was a man of high integrity.
When Potiphar’s wife tried to seduce him, he replied in Genesis 39:9, “How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” Joseph’s fear of God kept him from trouble. In your daily devotion, proclaim that your fear of God will be a wall against sin in your life.
Final Word
In today’s daily devotion, David makes a clarion call to God’s people. He desires that they fear Him. He says those who fear God will have no lack. As you trust Him and His word, you will, by His grace, walk in the reverential fear of the Lord.
