5 New Albums To Check Out On November 21, 2025
Tacos may rule Tuesdays, but Fridays are all about new albums. This week’s list of new releases features offerings from De La Soul, Dr. John, and a collaboration from Aerosmith and Yungblud. Whether you favor CDs, vinyl, or digital downloads, it is time to start making your shopping list. Here is a look at this week’s new music and five new albums that you definitely need to check out.
Aerosmith and Yungblud — One More Time EP (Capitol)

After Aerosmith was forced to cancel their farewell tour in 2024 due to an injury to legendary frontman Steven Tyler’s vocal cords, many wondered if they had heard the last of the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers. Clearly, that is not the case. The Boston rockers have teamed up with English punk rocker Yungblud to record a new EP entitled One More Time. The EP features four new songs plus a remake of the Aerosmith classic “Back in the Saddle.” The lead single, “My Only Angel,” was released in September.
De La Soul — Cabin in the Sky (Mass Appeal)

Cabin in the Sky marks the first studio album for the Grammy-winning rap group De La Soul in nine years. Enlisting producers like Pete Rock, Prince Paul and DJ Premier, the new album honors the late Trugoy the Dove by including bars recorded prior to his death in all new material. The 20-track Cabin in the Sky features guest appearances by Nas, Common, Killer Mike, Q-Tip, Jay Pharoah, Slick Rick and others.
Ella Eyre — Everything, In Time (Play It Again Sam)

English singer and songwriter Ella Eyre returns with her second full-length studio album on Friday. The new album features a confident new sound rooted in R&B, funk, and soul. Everything, In Time marks Eyre’s return from vocal surgery, and it displays an honesty and emotional depth, as well as the singer’s versatility and power. The Brit and MOBO Award-winning artist has not just found her voice again (literally), but she has found a new focus and direction.
Bloodhound — Field of Swords (Napalm)

Swedish power metal band Bloodhound takes listeners on a journey back to the time of the Crusades on its new album, Field of Swords. The band’s eleventh full-length studio album, a Middle Age-themed call to arms, is filled with high-powered anthems and driving guitar riffs. The album’s closing song features a guest appearance from Brittney Slayes of the Canadian metal band Unleash The Archers.
Dr. John — Live At The Village Gate (Omnivore Recordings)

On Friday, the Estate of Dr. John and Omnivore Recordings will release a never-before-heard (unless you were there on March 5, 1988) live album of the late, great Dr. John. Live at the Village Gate brings back the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer in his prime, performing his patented mix of blues, soul, funk, R&B, jazz and swamp rock. The six-time Grammy winner is featured on favorites like “Georgia on My Mind,” “Mess Around,” “Let the Good Time Roll” and “Mardi Gras Day.”
