Legal Mix-Up Stuns Akon Fans

Some of the offenses attributed to the “I Wanna Love You” rapper include suspended licenses and failure to appear in court after an incident in September involving his Tesla Cybertruck. The truck was found stranded on the side of the road due to a dead battery. While waiting for the Cybertruck to be impounded, the officer on duty discovered that the rap artist’s license was suspended from an incident in 2023.

According to a source close to the “Right Now (Na Na Na) rapper, told People magazine, the incident was paid for, just not correctly. “Due to a clerical issue, the suspended license should have never been escalated; it was paid, but not properly entered into the system. This will be soon rectified in the courts in early December.” Akon has not yet released a formal statement about his recent arrest.
