Daily Devotion Thursday Thoughts with Total Apex Media | November 6, 2025
It’s daily devotion time. Our Thursday thoughts turn once again to Apostle John, who has much to say about love. As believers, we should take in these truths inspired by the Holy Spirit, taught by John. “Commandment” is an unpopular word for most people in an anti-authority generation; however, John uses it instinctively. He understands God’s authority over us. And so should we.
In 1 John 3:22, John reminds us of God’s commandment:
23Â And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
In today’s daily devotion, know that believing in Jesus is obeying God’s command.
God’s Commandment

God doesn’t give us suggestions; His words are commandments. Not in a harsh sense because God doesn’t force us to do anything. He gives us a choice. In Deuteronomy 30:19, He says, “I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.” God created you with free will. However, He offers His word as life.
In today’s daily devotion, declare that you choose God’s word, which is life.
You Should Believe
Faith is believing God’s word. Why believe it? God is the Creator of the universe, life, and mankind. Scripture declares that He is God alone and there’s none besides Him. Evangelist Nancy Dufresne said you must trust in something powerful enough to deliver you. God gave His Son to the world to deliver you from the grip of sin.
Believing in God’s Son is the only way to salvation and eternal life. In your daily devotion today, ask yourself if there’s a reason to doubt God. Believe Jesus is the Son of God who gave His life for you. To be a believer, you must believe in the Son.
Name of Jesus
Jesus was sent by the Father to redeem us from sin through death on the cross; therefore, Paul says in Philippians 2:9 that God “hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name.” Jesus is our salvation. Luke sums it up in Acts 4:12: “Â Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
In your daily devotion, declare that salvation is in no other name but the name of Jesus.
Love One Another

The Father and Son have shown such great love to us. Jesus gave His disciples one of His final commands: love one another. Why would Jesus command us to love? Believers are required to walk by faith. Faith works by love, so if love isn’t operating in you, faith won’t work. Faith gives you access to everything you need in God’s kingdom. Also, love reflects God. As His son, you’re called to be like Him.
Love isn’t just one of God’s attributes. God is love. In Thursday’s daily devotion, proclaim that others will know you’re His disciple by your love.
Final Word
Most of the doubts and questions people have about God are answered in His word. But you must take the time to, not just read it, but study it. You must be interested in God’s word. Your interest in other things shouldn’t supersede your interest in God. God has communicated throughout every generation through His word.
You must have spiritual ears to hear His word. Today, preaching, teaching, studying, and speaking are tools for hearing. In your daily devotion, agree with God’s commandment, believe in His Son, and love one another.
