TIFF 50 Film Festival Lineup Revealed: All Movies at Toronto Film Festival 2025
Toronto International Film Festival celebrates its 50th year. The TIFF 50 Film Festival is from September 4th through the 14th in (like its name) Toronto. The festival is held at TIFF Lightbox cultural and theatre centre in Downtown Toronto. In similar fashion to other film festivals, movies are featured here which bear significance either to society, to artistic endeavors, or for their character study. The festival also marks the beginning of the autumn motion picture season.

Marking the TIFF 50 Film Festival
To commemorate the 50th anniversary, the festival will also be featuring 50 films. According to the TIFF website, these films selected are “50 pivotal films that have shaped TIFF’s rich history of curatorial excellence and influenced global cinema.” The films have all played an important role in shaping the festival’s vision and ensuring its mission to be a global stage and ultimate destination.
Like Cannes and the Venice Film Festival, the TIFF is one of the largest and well attended film festivals. It showcases some of the most important, culturally significant, and influential films each year. The TIFF 50 Film Festival has typically an impressive attendance of around 155,000 people.
