“Eternity” Erotic Thriller Casts Greg Kinnear and Bérénice Marlohe, Exciting Filming Underway in Europe
The forthcoming thriller “Eternity” will be the second directorial effort by Jamie Marshall, who has been working as an assistant and second-unit director for 30 years, and whose 2017 directorial debut, “Dirty Lies,” had the kind of premise and poster that belong on the cover of an airport-bookstore paperback. His sophomore film has no poster out yet, but it certainly has a concept behind it to match any other thriller, pulp for pulp – and it’ll steam up the screen to boot.
Sex, Con Artistry, and a Billionaire’s Yacht
“Eternity” may sound like the title of a hackneyed soap opera, but at least it isn’t an allusion to some eternal romantic bond, nor anything similarly melodramatic. Rather, it’s the name of a superyacht owned by Katrine Winters, an enigmatic but extremely glamorous billionaire and widow who catches the eye of a charming con artist named Calvin Wells (Nolan Gerard Funk). Her bottomless glamor seduces him, and while he may have some decidedly cynical intentions concerning her wealth, he doesn’t yet realize that her proverbial closet contains figurative (?) skeletons to rival any of his darkest secrets.
A Varied Cast, A Very Enthusiastic Lead Actress
Katrine Winters will be played by Meadow Williams, who also represents Diamond Film Productions as a producer of “Eternity.” As reported in Deadline, Williams has called herself “the originator of the story,” and has expressed tremendous enthusiasm for the character whom she will be portraying: “Katrine Winters is magnetic, formidable, and deeply conflicted. To play someone whose world is so beautiful on the surface but whose secrets are ruthless has been an exhilarating challenge.”
“Eternity” will also star Greg Kinnear (“Stuck on You,” “You Gotta Believe”) as Karl Munroe, a figure from Katrine’s past whose knowledge of her secrets makes him a serious threat to her. (Does this make her a threat to him?) Bérénice Marlohe has been cast as Lady Veronique, whose glamour and sophistication rival those of Katrine, and whose romantic involvement with a character named Luca (Cristiano Caccamo) proves pivotal to the steamy Calvin-Katrine storyline.
Other cast members of “Eternity” include William H. Macy (“Fargo”), Ludi Lin (“Mortal Kombat“), and Emanuela Postacchini (“The Seven Faces of Jane”). The natures of their characters remain unclear at this time, though it’s known that Lin’s and Postacchini’s characters will be named Sebastian and Emma, respectively.
A Perfect Setting for a Luxury Yacht Cruise
“Eternity” – both the ship and its titular deluxe vessel – will be located on the sunlit waters of the Mediterranean Sea, right in the middle of the summer. We may not be assured that every character will still be alive by the end of the movie, but at least there are much worse places in which to spend your final moments on Earth. Principal photography is currently taking place on location in Italy and Greece. In addition to Williams’s Diamond Film Productions, the film is also produced by Jeanette Volturno of CatchLight Studios and Jon Mason of JMason Entertainment.
