Stars Pay Tribute to D’Angelo: Beyoncé, Doja Cat, Missy Elliott, and Others Celebrate Soul Legend

D'Angelo

Neo-soul pioneer D’Angelo, who died on October 14, 2025, continues to make a major impact on the music world. Following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, the 51-year-old singer has been mourned by the global music community, with an outpouring of tributes from multiple prominent artists.

The Richmond, Virginia native also has three children, including a son, Michael Archer II, with fellow prolific R&B singer Angie Stone. Stone died in a tour bus accident in March 2025. The loss of both parents within a few months, has understandably been a profound tragedy for their son.
