Emma Watson is talking about her complicated rift with “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling. Watson, who skyrocketed to fame after starring as Hermione Granger in the “Harry Potter” movie franchise from 2001 to 2011, previously spoke out about her support of trans rights after Rowling began espousing anti-trans rhetoric on social media in 2019, drawing ire from trans activists and “Harry Potter” fans. While appearing on Wednesday’s episode of the “On Purpose With Jay Shetty,” Shetty asked Watson about her relationship with Rowling, which remains sour after the once-celebrated laureate of children’s literature implied last year that she does not plan to forgive Watson her opposing Rowling’s comments.

Rowling also noted that Watson should “save their apologies” after speaking out against her anti-trans remarks. “I really don’t believe that by having had that experience and holding the love and support and views that I have, means that I can’t and don’t treasure Jo and the person that I had personal experiences with,” Watson said. “I will never believe that one negates the other and that my experience of that person, I don’t get to keep and cherish.” She continued, “I think it’s my deepest wish that I hope people who don’t agree with my opinion will love me, and I hope I can keep loving people whom I don’t necessarily share the same opinion.”

Pete Davidson is sharing how an emotional conversation with his mom helped him continue on his path to sobriety. Davidson has been sober for more than a year, but it took some brutal honesty from his mother, Amy Waters Davidson, that encouraged him to clean up his act, per E! News. The Saturday Night Live alum, Pete Davidson, appeared on a recent episode of Theo Von’s This Past Weekend podcast, where he detailed a heartbreaking chat with his mom that inspired him to get sober and take better care of himself.

“My mom’s the most supportive person in the world,” he said. “And it got to a point where she called me when I was in rehab and she was like, ‘My biggest fear is that I will turn on the news and I’ll see that my son has died.'” The devastating confession struck a chord with the King of Staten Island actor, especially since his mom is someone who tries to remain positive. He also does not want to be the reason for that kind of heartbreak after his father, Scott Davidson, died during the September 11 terrorist attack while serving as a firefighter in New York City.

Michael Jackson’s sexual assault accusers, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, are seeking $400 million in damages over the alleged abuse. The staggering figure was revealed in court documents filed on September 15 related to Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson, not wanting the King of Pop’s estate to pay all of the mounting legal fees in the case. But, according to the documents obtained by Us Weekly, Michael’s executors stated that not paying the legal fees would have “profoundly destabilizing consequences for the estate.”

Michael’s executors, John Branca and John McClain, stated that if the estate does not pay all of its legal fees, they would most likely not be able to continue to fight Robson and Safechuck’s lawsuits. “The Estate would likely have to default … where numerous depositions, discovery matters, and other matters are scheduled to take place over the next several months, and where [Robson and Safechuck] are seeking $400 million,” the documents state.“It would be disastrous for the Estate to default in this case,” the docs continue.
