Cardi B Teases New Album Cover Sporting Bold Red Hair and Courtroom Style
Cardi B has had the internet in an uproar, from her latest street shenanigans, new release singles, to her head-turning high fashion style. After the long-anticipated wait, Cardi B’s sophomore album, “Am I the Drama”, will be released on September 19th. Since announcing the release date of her second album, Cardi B has definitely kept the drama going, and the internet is watching to see what she wears and says next.
The countdown to the release of Cardi B’s “Am I the Drama” has begun. Before Cardi could celebrate the release of her new album, she had to handle legal matters first. Earlier this month and late August, Cardi B had to go to court to sit trial for an incident that happened in 2018. Each day in court, the judge and jury did not know what to expect or which wig she would wear when Cardi B entered the courtroom.
Drama Queen: Cardi B’s Street Hustle
Taking full advantage of trending for her courthouse fashion, Cardi B continued the “Am I the Drama” bootleg press tour. True to her lyrics, the “Outside” rapper went outside to promote her second album. She was recorded recently on the streets of New York City. Cardi B was barefoot with pedicured toes, selling and promoting Am I the Drama courthouse edition.
She wore a black Bride of Chucky graphic tee and comfy black cargo shorts. Stopping traffic was her hair styled in a long, bold, fiery red bob and chrome nails. There are three different covers and a vinyl album for “Am I the Drama” court edition, which features each wig change and viral facial reaction from her recent court trial. Cardi B explained in a viral TikTok video,
“Just because I won the verdict, guess what? I still gotta pay these lawyers,“ Cardi joked in the video. She then encouraged fans to “donate“ $9.99 for each courtroom-edition CD, before poking fun at her own lifestyle. “You know I’m a single mother of three.”
Cardi B’s Courtroom Style Reign
On day 1, the hip-hop rapper was giving throwback Toni Braxton. She entered the courtroom wearing a black pixie cut wig, a black tailor-made power suit, and serving face. But before day one was up, Cardi B did a costume change and switched to a blonde wig with big curls, serving old Hollywood glam. She changed into a gray tweed suit with a fringed jacket, beige heels, and a multicolor Louis Vuitton Chrissie bag with gold studs.
On day 2 in court, Cardi rocked her signature classic black hair with waves and a white, wide-leg pantsuit and round shoulder blazer. Wearing oversized gold-rimmed glasses and an LV bag complemented the look. On the final day in court, the viral headshot of the artist falling asleep while waiting for the verdict. But the “WAP“ rapper’s large, bright pink bow made the final statement. The bow was attached to a 10k Valentino three-piece suit. InStyle.com breaks down the cost of Cardi B’s victory suit,
“Stepping out for an assault trial on Tuesday, September 2nd, the “Drip“ rapper modeled a three-piece look from the designer, consisting of the Supergran Plusdepois Print Jacket ($4,800), the Supergran Pants ($ 2,300), and a matching silk crêpe de chine blouse ($2,700).”
