Prince William and Kate Middleton’s upcoming move has forced two families living nearby to vacate their homes. The Prince and Princess of Wales, along with their three children, are gearing up to relocate to Forest Lodge, nestled in Windsor Great Park. Two families living near the eight-bedroom property were asked to vacate ahead of the royal family’s move. “They were told to move out,” an insider said, “I guess they were given somewhere else, but they were told they had to move. They were not expecting it.” This was reported in the Daily Mail.
The royal family previously moved to Adelaide Cottage in 2022. The couple’s three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, started attending the nearby co-ed prep school Lambrook. Forest Lodge is not far from their current four-bedroom home. Royal insiders said that William and Kate are hoping for a “fresh start” at the new property. In January of this year, Kate, 43, announced that her cancer was in remission. William’s father, King Charles III, was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer in February 2024.
Daily #2: Ashlee Simpson Opens Up About SNL Bullying
It’s been twenty years since Ashlee Simpson’s Saturday Night Live performance that made headlines, and while the singer has moved past the incident, she can see how it serves as a perfect example of the toxicity of online bullying. During a recent appearance on the Pod Meets World podcast, Simpson, 40, reflected on the intense public backlash she received after being caught lip-syncing while performing as the musical guest for SNL’s Oct. 23, 2004, episode.
The lip-sync incident occurred after Simpson had already performed her hit single, “Pieces of Me,” and returned for her second song that night, “Autobiography.” But when the wrong vocals played, repeating the song she sang earlier in the show, she panicked, briefly danced to cover up the mistake, and walked off the stage.
“I don’t think if it was that moment in this era, it would be [like] that,” she told EW.com, “I think during that time, I mean, the bullying was insane.” Simpson said the backlash made her feel as if she had to explain herself all the time, saying, “But then my whole life, I had to tell people, ‘Oh, but I perform every night.’ And I was like, what am I trying to tell people? My fans know. I had to know that in my heart.”
Daily #3: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Go Makeup-Free
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, both 39, were pictured arranging racks of chic, minimalist clothing in the Hamptons, in muted colors from their couture brand, The Row. Both were makeup-free and wore black loungewear as they curated clothing from the high-end label. The pair is very private, so their being seen in public is a rarity.
Ashley gave birth to a baby boy named Otto sometime in 2023, without ever publicly announcing her pregnancy. TMZ reported in August 2023 that she and husband Louis Eisner had welcomed their first child “a few months ago in New York.” Mary-Kate and Ashley, who rose to fame as infants on television in the ’80s, opened up in a rare joint interview about their side-by-side evolution from actors to fashion industry icons.“I don’t know how conscious we were of what we were doing at that time, to be really honest,” Ashley told i-D in 2021 of the brand’s 2005 inception.
