John Leguizamo Destroys Dean Cain Over ICE Role

John Leguizamo isn’t holding back, and truthfully, he doesn’t need to. The Hollywood actor, known for his strong stances and unwavering candor, has once again sparked a wave of discussion. This time, his sights are set on former Superman actor Dean Cain, who proudly announced his plans to be sworn in as an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent.

John Leguizamo Rips Dean Cain Over ICE Role

And Leguizamo’s response? Let’s say it was far from diplomatic. “What kind of loser volunteers to be an ICE officer? What a moron,” John Leguizamo quipped in a searing Instagram post that’s been making the rounds online. In the caption, he said, “#DeanCain volunteered to be an ice agent! I got one word for you LOSER!” Oh, but that’s not all. The actor, admired for his advocacy for Latino representation in Hollywood, landed his punchline with the brutal remark, “Dean Cain, your pronouns are has/been.” Ouch.

During an appearance at the 2024 Emmy Awards, Leguizamo jokingly referred to himself as one of Hollywood’s “DEI hires,” saying, “The ‘D’ is for diligence, the ‘E’ is for excellence, and the ‘I’ is for imagination.”  John Leguizamo added, “And everyone in this room tonight has dedicated their lives to diligence, excellence and imagination, so we are all DEI hires. What a beautiful diverse group this is tonight.”

The Lois and Clark: New Adventures of Superman actor detailed his patriotic pivot during an appearance on Fox News’ Jesse Watters Primetime. He proudly proclaimed his intent to step into an ICE agent’s role, citing the importance of “patriots stepping up.” According to Cain, securing America’s borders and contributing to law enforcement efforts isn’t just his choice; it’s what he calls “the right thing to do.”

This isn’t the first time Cain has gone full steam ahead into controversy. He recently criticized James Gunn, director of the latest Superman revamp, for describing the superhero as “an immigrant.” Cain accused Hollywood of bending too far to accommodate modern societal shifts, referring to Gunn’s interpretation of Superman as “woke.” Oh, and if that wasn’t enough, he also aimed at Disney for adapting Snow White to align with contemporary storytelling values. Cain isn’t a fan of the modern takes on some characters today.

Final Thoughts on John Leguizamo

This is where the counterpunch from John Leguizamo becomes particularly fascinating. The actor, who migrated from Colombia to the U.S. at the age of three, has long championed diversity and representation in media. Look, whether it’s Superman or ICE, Dean Cain seems determined to interject himself into debates that are as controversial as they are emotionally charged. But with critics like John Leguizamo out there, calling out what they see as hypocrisy or spectacle, it’s clear these conversations won’t fizzle out anytime soon.
