Daily Devotion Thursday Thoughts with Total Apex Media | October 16, 2025

It’s Thursday, and time for your daily devotional. We continue turning our thoughts to our Protector in Psalm 91. And what a protector our God is. He gives us the best life. If you trust Him, you can have a confident, worry-free life.

Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

In today’s daily devotion, take a moment to rejoice in the Lord, your Protector and Refuge.

My Refuge

The Lord is your refuge or shelter. He loves you more than anyone else can. And He can protect you better than anyone else. The Lord had Moses build a tabernacle in the wilderness as a sign of His presence. God appeared as a cloud by day and fire by night as His people traveled in the wilderness. God gave them visible proof that He was their refuge.

Jesus was God manifested in the flesh. He lived and died for us, and in John 15:7, He says we can abide in Him. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 6:19 that “your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you.” God dwells in you. You have become His tabernacle, and He tabernacles with you. Praise God, in your daily devotion, that His presence is your refuge at all times.

No Evil

There is no guarantee that you won’t go through tests and trials. Undoubtedly, you will. But you can trust God to keep you safe. You never have to resign yourself to the fate of others, your demographic, or your socio-economic status. When God is your refuge, you can trust that His promises are yours; you live by His word, not by evil circumstances that may surround you.

Don’t walk around fearful of plagues, sicknesses, or any of the enemy’s threats. Let your faith overcome fear. In today’s daily devotion, proclaim as David did in Psalm 46:1 that “God is [my] refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

His Angels

As a believer, you are covered by the Holy Trinity. Not only are God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit with you. Angels are with you, protecting you, as well. God has given them charge, or ordered them to watch over you. Angels move by God’s command. When we speak God’s word, they adhere to His word.

When you live in God’s will, you can trust that His angels are there to protect you. They are on assignment to keep you safe so that you can fulfill God’s purpose for your life. In your daily devotion, thank God that His angels are there to secure you while you run your race.

Bear You Up

The Living Bible says God’s angels will “steady you with their hands to keep you from stumbling against the rocks on the trail.” This is a picture of angelic protection in the wilderness. Moving across mountains and rough terrain, God’s people were safe. Today, God’s angels are with you. In your daily devotion, praise God, they surround you, protecting you from things that may cause you to stumble.

Final Word

In this daily devotion, we’ve reflected on our great Protector and Refuge. You don’t have to live in fear because He’s with you, and He has ordered His angels to protect you. It doesn’t get any better than that! He’s Your Protector. He’s Your Refuge. And you’re safe.
