Ozzy Osbournes Favorite Places to Visit Across the United States

Ever wonder where the Prince of Darkness, the rock legend, liked to travel when he wasn’t playing on stage and entertaining us with his killer antics? Where did he yell “Shaarroonnn!!!” when he wasn’t at home or on tour? Was it in a cave, on a lazy river with a virgin pina colada in hand, or was it in a national forest? We all know Ozzy was hardcore, but he had a softer, curious side that loved to explore. Let’s take a look back at some of his favorite places to visit. And yes, they’re as unforgettable as the man himself.

1. Mount Rushmore, South Dakota

Ozzy loved history, and Mount Rushmore was a big deal for him. He stood there, staring up at those massive presidential faces, and you just know he was thinking, “Where’s my face up there?” Classic Ozzy—equal parts awe and cheeky humor.

2. The Alamo, Texas

Okay, we all know about that Alamo incident, but he made amends and came back with a whole new appreciation for the place. He soaked up the history, admired the bravery of those who fought there, and probably muttered something like, “I’m not peeing on this one, I promise.”

3. Roswell, New Mexico

Aliens and Ozzy? A match made in heaven—or, you know, outer space. He loved diving into the UFO conspiracies and wandering through the Roswell UFO Museum. You can just picture him joking about being abducted: “They’d probably send me back after five minutes.”

4. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Ohio

As a rock god, Ozzy had a soft spot for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He loved seeing the history of the genre he helped define, and you know he couldn’t resist a little humblebrag about his own spot in the Hall. “Not bad for a kid from Birmingham, eh?”

5. The Grand Canyon, Arizona

Even Ozzy, the man who’s seen it all, was blown away by the Grand Canyon. He stood on the edge, taking it all in, and probably said something like, “Bloody hell, this is massive.” It was one of those rare moments where even he was left speechless—well, almost.

6. Graceland, Tennessee

The Prince of Darkness had mad respect for Elvis, so visiting Graceland was like a pilgrimage for him. He wandered through the King’s mansion, soaking up the vibe, and probably thought, “Elvis and I would’ve thrown one hell of a party here.”

7. The Smithsonian Museums, Washington, D.C.

Who knew Ozzy was such a history nerd? While he might not have been known as the Prince of Science, he was all about learning. He especially liked the Smithsonian Museums. Which were his favorites; those happened to be the National Air and Space Museum. He geeked out over the rockets and planes. Showing he had a natural curiosity for many things, not just music. He geeked out over the planes and rockets, proving that even the Prince of Darkness has a soft spot for science.

8. The Winchester Mystery House, California

A haunted mansion with endless hallways and ghostly vibes? Yeah, that’s his jam. He and Jack explored the Winchester Mystery House, and you just know he was cracking jokes about getting lost forever. “If I don’t make it out, tell Sharon I love her.”

9. The Tank Museum, Minnesota

Tanks might not scream “rock star,” but Ozzy was all about them. He loved the raw power and history of these war machines, and he even got hands-on with some of the exhibits. Leave it to Ozzy to make tanks cool.

10. Key West, Florida

Ozzy loved the laid-back vibe of Key West. He explored the Ernest Hemingway Home, soaked in the sunsets, and probably thought, “This is the kind of place where I could write a ballad… or take a nap.”

11. Salem, Massachusetts

Salem’s witchy history was right up Ozzy’s alley. He wandered the haunted streets, learning about the witch trials, and probably joked, “I’d fit right in here with my bat-biting reputation.”

12. Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

Ozzy had a thing for nature, and Yellowstone blew him away. The geysers, the wildlife, the sheer beauty—it was all a bit overwhelming, even for him. “This place is bloody magical,” he probably said, with a grin.

13. The Liberty Bell, Pennsylvania

The Liberty Bell might not be the most exciting place to visit, but that didn’t matter to Ozzy. He admired its history and symbolism, and you can bet he threw in a comment like, “It’s cracked, but it’s still standing—just like me.”

14. Area 51, Nevada

Ozzy’s curiosity about the unknown made Area 51 a must-visit. He couldn’t get too close, but he loved the alien-themed attractions nearby. “If there’s anyone who can handle aliens, it’s me,” he probably joked.

15. The Hollywood Walk of Fame, California

As a star on the Walk of Fame, Ozzy loved strolling past the names of his fellow legends. He’d stop at his own star, flash that iconic grin, and say, “Not bad for a bloke who used to work in a slaughterhouse.”
