Stocking eventually transforms into a massive kaiju-like Ghost that Corset plans to control. Meanwhile, Brief, Chuck, Garterbelt, Scanty, Kneesocks, and Fastener gather up the Panty pieces. And it leads to a slugfest of gargantuan proportions between the two angel sisters.

The following Panty and Stocking episode returns to the typical two-segment formula. First, the angels and the demons work together to hunt down a Ghost. Then Panty gets pulled into a Yu-Gi-Oh-style showdown at a local card game store.

Two New Heroes Join the Team

For this sequel series, the Daemon sisters, Scanty and Kneesocks, take a more prominent role. They’re assigned to return escaped Ghosts to Hell following the aftermath of Corset’s plans. And they cannot return home until every last one is found and dealt with. It’s essentially a mirror version of Panty and Stocking’s duty and goals. This arrangement also means the once-opposing duos must work together as competing allies.

Many future episodes will likely center around the pairs interacting and learning to cooperate. Their constant back-and-forth could result in personal growth on both sides. New Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt feels like a perfect continuation, in my opinion. It keeps the raunchy and fun-filled spirit of the original while adding something new. I honestly cannot wait to see how the Daemon sisters’ inclusion changes things. Plus, the new voice cast does an impressive job of portraying these iconic roles. You can barely tell the difference unless you’ve recently watched the previous show. Nevertheless, these first two/three episodes were incredible, and I’m ready for more!
