Daily Devotional: Feel Good Friday Thoughts with Total Apex Media | September 5, 2025
It’s finally Friday and time for today’s daily devotion. While reading God’s word, Psalm 143:8 stood out:
Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.
In this heartfelt psalm, David pours out his heart to God as he finds himself in the midst of an overwhelming trial. We’ve all been there. Your situation has reached a breaking point. You’ve cried out to God from the depths of your soul, yet there’s no relief in sight. Not only do you see no light at the end of the tunnel, but the tunnel has a no-entry zone. What do you do in times like this? You do exactly what David did. You talk to God. Praise God in today’s daily devotion that He is ever present to hear your prayers.
Show Humility

This psalm begins with David asking God to hear his voice. Sometimes, there is madness all around us, and we don’t think God hears our cries. But God does. David acknowledges that he, like all mankind, is sinful, but He knows that God is merciful. He continues by describing the tormenting predicament he faces.
The enemy has been hounding David’s footsteps, persecuting him, and threatening to overtake him. David feels that his time is running out. What a horrible position to be in. We can certainly identify with David, who does the right thing by bringing his case to God. There are many other directions people turn to in life when trouble strikes. But David turns to God Almighty.
God is the only true and living God, who is mighty to save and deliver. In times of tribulation, know that no one else can help you like God. In today’s daily devotion, praise God for His matchless power in every storm.
Remember the Past
With troubles raging like a tempestuous storm, hopelessness tries to grip David. God’s people are never without hope. Scripture declares He’s the God of all hope. David confessed that he felt hopeless and fearful. Paul told Timothy that God has not given us the spirit of fear. Therefore, fear is not of God but of Satan.
David provides a perfect model to follow in times of tribulation. As David confesses his fears, he begins to remember the past. He remembers past victories and the mighty works of God. Never fixate on the trouble you face. Look to the God who delivers you from every evil work. Meditate on the power of God in this daily devotion. It is available for you today.
Call on His Lovingkindness

David’s adversities do not prevent him from praising God. Even though his enemy is vehemently pursuing him, he knows God’s love is with him at all times. Every morning, he awakes to God’s lovingkindness. He asks God for direction and deliverance. He knows his faithful God will lead him in righteousness.
David’s faith is being tested, but he keeps a tight grip. In Matthew 16:33, Jesus told his disciples that tribulations are a part of life, but they were to rejoice because He’d made them overcomers.
Remain Faithful
David could’ve run and sought out strong allies to come to his defense. He could have trusted in worldly powers, but he determined to trust in God. Faith requires us to remain steadfast. When we know that God is almighty, we trust His timing and stay patient. We know our God will come through. In your daily devotion today, thank God that He always brings you through.
David asks God to teach him. He desires to learn God’s ways. He asks God to preserve his life. Even though David trusts God, in his humanity, he feels fear. But your faith will outlast fear when you hold on to God. The Bible says God cannot lie. Also, His word doesn’t return void. So trust Him. God can’t fail.
The Storm Ends in Victory
There’s a quote that says, “When you feel like you’re drowning in life, your Lifeguard walks on water.” We can trust our powerful God to deliver us when we face overwhelming difficulties. We can pray in humility as we remember past victories. We can call on God’s love and kindness while remaining faithful to Him. Let today’s daily devotion remind you that no storm is bigger than God. He alone can speak, “Peace, be still.”
