Daily Devotional: Feel Good Friday Thoughts with Total Apex Media | August 29, 2025

TGIF! It’s the day to watch the clock wind down and head out to freedom when it strikes the awaited time. But take the time in this morning’s daily devotion to give God thanks for the day, not just because it’s Friday, and your workweek’s ending. But you’re truly grateful to see another day. In Psalm 118:24, David exclaims, “This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.” Let’s be joyful for the day and grateful for all the possibilities it offers.

Celebrate Today

Each day has 24 hours, enough time to get things done. It’s up to you to be productive. Start by celebrating the day. In your daily devotion, recognize that this day has never been and won’t come again. It’s a blessing from God, so be thankful. Begin your day by offering up praise and thanksgiving to the One who made it possible. When you begin the day in thanksgiving, it enhances your outlook and productivity.

Instead of watching the clock, you’ll be more mindful of letting God’s light shine through you as a child of God. When you set your day’s focus on Him, you want to please Him by emulating His character and ways. Be that person at work who always has a smile, an encouraging word, and a strong work ethic.

The Lord Made It

Your Creator, the One who made all things, made this day for His people to enjoy. No, He didn’t craft it last night while you were sleeping. He established day and night in Genesis, and time has been on a continuous cycle ever since. But we acknowledge God as the Creator;  therefore, the day is possible because of Him.

In your daily devotion, make a list of things you are thankful for today. List everything, no matter how small, even if it’s the ice cream you’re looking forward to when you get off work. Because you’re happy that the Lord made the day, show Him how you appreciate it. Be kind to others, whether or not they are kind to you. Your attitude shouldn’t change because others decide to be gloomy. Take charge of your day by declaring it to be the day the Lord has made. Psalm 66 encourages you to make a joyful noise unto God. In other words, rejoice!

Time to Rejoice

Once you declare that it’s a day given to you by God, it’s time to rejoice. Rejoicing means to be excited. It’s hard to be stoic when you’re excited. If someone surprised you with an unexpected gift that you’ve been desiring for a long time, you’d rejoice. You wouldn’t sit still. Think of today as a day God gifted to you and act accordingly.

Sure, many horrible situations are happening in the world. But why focus on that? That won’t make you joyful. The Bible says to think on good things. Begin rejoicing in your daily devotion time.

Be Glad In It

Being glad means being happy and exuberant. Gladness causes you to rejoice. It’s obvious when a person becomes glad. The face lights up, a smile appears, and the tone changes. Be filled with gladness in your daily devotion time, and carry it throughout your day. In Psalm 118, it is scriptural to be glad and praise the Lord. So, let this Friday be a day of gladness because God, the Creator, is worthy to be praised.

Fully Blessed

You’re fully blessed and prepared to enjoy this fabulous Friday, not just to watch the clock wind down, but to truly be thankful that it’s the day the Lord has made. So, be motivated in this daily devotion and throughout the day to celebrate, rejoice, and be glad!
