Today’s Faith: Entering A New Season With Ease

Today’s Faith requires you to enter a new season with courage and expectation. Today we travel to Ecclesiastes 3:1.

Here’s the truth: every one of us will face moments when God says, “It’s time to move forward.” Entering a new season can feel scary, can’t it? The comfort of what’s familiar feels safe, but safe doesn’t always mean right. Sometimes God has to close one door so you’ll notice the next one He’s opening.

Change can feel uncomfortable, but it’s often God’s way of pulling you closer to your destiny. So if you’re walking into something new right now, don’t panic. The God who brought you here knows exactly where He’s taking you next.

Embracing God’s Timing in Entering a New Season

Let’s be honest. Most of us like control. We want to see the plan before we take the step. But faith doesn’t work that way. Entering a new season means trusting God’s timing even when it doesn’t make sense. Maybe it’s a career change, a new chapter in your family, or even a fresh call on your spiritual life.

Whatever it is, God isn’t caught off guard. His Word tells us there’s a time for everything, and that means this moment—yes, this one—is on His calendar. Don’t drag yesterday into today. Trust Him to do something new. Ecclesiastes 3:1 reads: “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”

A Liturgy To Reflect On Your New Season Ahead

Say this with a close friend that trusts in the Lord Jesus Christ:

  • Call: Lord, You are the God of every season.
  • Response: We trust You with this new beginning.
  • Call: Father, we release the weight of the old.
  • Response: We embrace the new with faith.
  • Call: Jesus, lead us into Your perfect plan.
  • Response: We will follow You into victory.

A Prayer For Your Journey Into Your New Season

Jesus, I’m going to be real here: I’m excited and uncertain about entering a new season, so forgive me. There are a range of emotions, from hope for what’s ahead, to hesitation about letting go of what has felt safe and familiar. In this moment though my mind is focused, remembering who You are to me. Help me follow obediently. If you close opportunities so be it.

If new ones arrive help me trust they are from you. Help me be discerning. Lord, let this season draw me closer to You. Mark it with obedience, deepen it with trust, and fill it with a growing intimacy in my walk with Christ. May I notice Your fingerprints on every detail and recognize Your purpose in every change.

Today, I place my plans, my timing, and even my comfort into Your capable hands, confident that where You lead, You will also provide. I know there are times where I am thinking I can figure this out. In habit I do this, not that I mean to. Forgive me oh Lord for not coming to you first. I need to calm down and remember there is something good about entering a new season with you at the helm.

I do not know why my anxiety is up, other than confessing I like to have control. Help me lose control to save my life. In the end, may the journey I’m on be a blessing in witness to others. I want them to truly see what it is like to believe and to be obedient. In the strong name of Jesus, Amen. What has today’s faith required from you? Reply in the comments and I might reply!
