Daily Devotional For Tuesday Thought with Total Apex Media | 8/19/25

It’s a terrific Tuesday, and as we pause for daily devotion, let’s reflect on God’s great benefits listed in Psalm 68:19. Reflecting on God as our provider is essential. It’s difficult to doubt God’s goodness while realizing how much God has given you. Why should you see God as a good provider when there are so many difficulties in the world?

Life’s difficulties do not negate God’s goodness. His goodness is a fact. James 1:17 says every good and perfect gift comes from God. In today’s daily devotion, let’s focus on God as a giver of good things.

Trusting God’s Goodness

Many question God’s goodness and blame Him for all of earth’s troubles and sorrows. However, there is an enemy of all that’s good on this earth. His name is Satan. He has a host of evil angels called demons that assist him in his wicked, diabolical work. Paul calls him the “god of this world.

Satan, whose name means adversary, is mentioned in only 4 out of 39 books of the Old Testament, although he is active throughout it. The full revelation of Satan as our enemy wasn’t given until Jesus exposed him as the thief who steals, kills, and destroys. Even Job attributes his suffering to God, saying in Job 1:21, “the Lord hath taken away,” when it’s clear in verse 12 that Satan took Job’s possessions.

The KJV and other Bible versions are just translations. As a French student, my task was to translate a novel from French to English. I soon realized some words couldn’t be translated perfectly. Often, I’d have to find an English word that came as close as possible to the meaning of a French word because there was no exact translation due to differences in the language.

Hebrew translators translated verbs meant to be in the permissive sense to the causative sense. That’s why it’s best to study the original language before assuming knowledge of the scripture you’re reading, unless you’re given divine revelation.

So, if you believe the Bible is true, then embrace the nearly 200 scriptures that proclaim God is good and He gives to us daily. Believe the report of the Lord, not the lies of the enemy. Remember, Satan is the Father of Lies, while God is the Giver of Benefits.

Some of God’s Benefits

Psalm 103 provides a list of benefits that flow from God’s goodness toward us. The first thing listed in this powerful psalm is that God forgives our sins. Forgiveness is a powerful benefit. Secondly, He heals our sicknesses. God has already provided our healing. Isaiah 53:5 says that we are healed by the stripes Jesus bore.

Next, God saves us from destruction and shows us kindness and mercy. Also, He provides us with good things, restores us, and shows us righteousness. If the previous benefits aren’t enough, God is slow to anger. He doesn’t punish us according to our sinfulness. Finally, He doesn’t punish us according to our wrongs.

As you meditate on Psalm 103 in your devotion time today, you may say, “I haven’t received some of these daily benefits from God.” Yet they are available to you. However, the blessings of God are not automatic, but conditional. They don’t just fall on us because we say we believe in God and attend church. If you are not receiving from God, reflect today on why that is so.

The Bible says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” So God not only created us, but He also provided restoration from the lost fellowship that Adam’s sin cost mankind. As people of God, we are mandated to walk in love. If you’re not receiving, check your love walk.

Final Thoughts

In this Tuesday’s devotion time, as you reflect on God as a giver, thank Him for His benefits. Among other things, you have been redeemed from sin, forgiven, and restored. Thank Him for providing healing, freedom from sin, and giving you His mercy and grace. No longer be deceived into thinking God is not good.

The Bible declares in Hebrews 11:6 that He is good and He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Thank God whose goodness ultimately makes Him your Giver of Daily Benefits!
