Daily Devotion: Feel Good Friday Thoughts with Total Apex Media | August 15, 2025
It’s time for Friday’s daily devotion. Take a break to assess your life. You’ve been working all week, and you’re ready for the clock to strike 5:00 P.M. Then it’s time to clock out, say your goodbyes, and jump in your vehicle to go and start your weekend. Who cares about rush hour traffic?
It’s Friday, and you do what you have to do to enjoy the next 2.5 days. But while you’re cruising on the highway heading home or to your chosen destination, be mindful to take a breath and reflect on your week.
Have you Been Present?

There’s a difference between being present at work and being present, as in fully there in spirit, mind, and body. In other words, you were focused, not dreaming of the weekend. While in that meeting, as your boss explained how the market for your company’s product was finally moving in the right direction, you were attentive.
Have you been giving your undivided attention so that no one had to second-guess if you were listening to them? When you’re not fully present while life or work is happening around you, it means you’re emotionally unavailable, which can negatively affect your work and your relationships. Time to break free, and in this Friday’s daily devotion, let’s see how.
Don’t Live in the Past

Sometimes when people don’t live in the moment, they live in the past or in their heads. They’re constantly thinking about someone or something from the past. Maybe a relationship ended, and they keep replaying it, or the events that led up to it. They may’ve argued with a friend or co-worker. Maybe someone was rude to them at an event, and they haven’t recovered from it.
They just can’t let what happened go. It plays like a movie in their heads. They’re so busy thinking of things they could have said or done to make the turnout different. When past details dominate their thought lives, you’re not fully there anywhere. Remove negative thoughts. Replace bad thoughts with good ones.
Read books that encourage positive, uplifting thoughts, like the Bible, a daily devotion, or other inspirational books.
Practice self-affirmations by speaking positively. Fellowship with those who love and support you. When at work, clear your mind of clutter. Focus on your job, and when in conversation with others, maintain eye contact and listen attentively to what they’re saying. If you miss something, have them repeat it. Repeat it back to them to confirm you understand.
Don’t Live in the Future
Some people are overly concerned with what will happen. They fill their thoughts with what might happen in the future. Will I find the right person? Will I start my dream career? Life is too short to dwell in the unknown or allow your mind to dwell on uncharted territory.
Concentrate on making the right moves today to ensure you will land at the right destination in the future. And trust God for things that you can’t see. In this daily devotion, here’s an important scripture to meditate on. Proverbs 3:15 admonishes us to trust God fully with all our hearts. When we put things in God’s hands and trust Him to guide us, He will.
Live in the Present
Today is staring you in the face, so don’t ignore it and miss the joy of being in what the present has to give. When you live in the present, you don’t miss life’s moments that are happening every day if you take the time to notice them. Don’t miss the beautiful sunsets and the inspirational moments life gives. Find the beauty each day offers.
Final Thoughts
If you’re a creative person, be present for things that are happening around you that can inspire your creativity. Something your boss says may give you an idea for a project at work that lands you a big promotion. You never know! So get your head out of the past and out of the future and live for today.
