With that said, let’s get right into my list of books to read this spring.

This is a fascinating story about Daphne and her unconventional love life. Imagine knowing the expiration date of your next relationship immediately when you start it. Whenever a new love comes into Daphne’s life, she gets a piece of paper with the exact duration of the relationship.
This new relationship started and the paper Daphne got just had the name “Jake” without a date. As the relationship went on, she started to question if this would be her last bus stop for relationships. She wondered if her relationship with Jake had no expiration date.
Daphne had to keep it to herself, as she was scared if she told Jake it could ruin the relationship. This is one of Rebecca Serle’s best works so far, and a high recommendation of a book to read in spring.
The House of Hidden Meanings

How about this beautiful piece from Rupaul? Looking to dive deep into the life of someone other than yourself? Then this is the book to read this spring.
The House of Hidden Meanings is a memoir that shed more light on the life of the drag superstar, and what it was like growing up black, queer, and poor in a broken home in San Diego.
This book encompasses how he was able to use all he went through growing up to shape who he has grown up to become. This book is philosophical and conversational and a must-read this spring.
Becoming Madam Secretary

Becoming Madam Secretary is an epic work from Stephanie Dray. It features the story of a young and vibrant Fraces Perkins. Perkins touched down in New York City with bright ideas of changing the world and trashing social injustice.
It wasn’t a smooth ride as she found herself at odds with another young and vibrant mind, Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Over two decades, their initial rocky start turned out to become a solid political partnership. This is an interesting book for the spring; you can enjoy it with lots of twists and turns.
Funny Story

Emily Henry is back with a bang on this amazing rom-com of a book to read in spring. Henry is well known for her unrivaled sense of humor which shines through this book. Her style of funny storytelling and a special wit for romance, blend to create this beautiful piece, Funny Story.
This book takes on the popular theme of the “fake dating” scenario, with a unique touch of wit and warmth. This is another must-read book for spring.
Butter

Butter is an entertaining and intriguing book to read in spring. Written by Asako Yuzuki, Butter was inspired by the true-life case of journalist Rika Machida. She became obsessed with Manako Kaiji, a serial killer who created a buzz after murdering all the wealthy men she had cajoled to take her cooking classes.
Kaiji was arrested but she exercised her right of silence, and wouldn’t talk to the press. Somehow Rika managed to get through to her unconventionally. This book by the Japanese author perfectly blends food and murder to perfection.
