If you happen to have a fascination with thriller books and also happen to be a bookworm who will do anything to find another book to read after the last, finding a good series to read is always the hardest thing to do when you don’t know what to read.
Well, you happen to be in luck. James Patterson holds a special spot in my heart, and any of his amazing thriller books catch my attention.
Yet only three different series that he’s written have truly captured my attention and have me wishing I could read them all again (if dreams could come true).
3. Maximum Ride
The go-to series I will always have in my ever-growing collection of books.
Maximum Ride is a story about these kids, who were given up by their families to be experimented on by scientists while they were younger.
Within those experiments on the six children, they had the ability to have wings because of an alteration to their biology.
The six characters go through tough journeys as they are being hunted down because they have escaped the facility where they were being kept and experimented on.
Without too many spoilers, there is a lot that happens in the series that will always grab your attention and make you want to read more.
And if you happen to be a fan of sci-fi books with a bit of romance, tons of thrillers, betrayal, plot twists, action, and adventure, this nine-book series is one you should check out.
2. Alex Cross: A 30 book Thriller Series
This 30-book series blew my mind.
Not only did the amount of books shock me, but so did how James Patterson had each book with our main character Alex Cross and his partner John Sampson face different problems and have different crimes that need to be solved in every book.
With “The Mastermind” behind a lot of what happens in the book, he happens to be the main antagonist.
But there isn’t much of a summary that can be given with this series other than that because of how each book is its own.
Yet, if you’re looking for that thriller, mystery, detective, and suspense series, this should be a good fit for you, especially if you need a long series to read.
1. Women’s Murder Club
This one is also long.
With 21 books in the series, Women’s Murder Club is in the crime, thriller, and mystery genres.
I loved the series because it’s about four young women who were brought together and now work with each other, trying to solve any homicide investigations they can get their hands on.
This whole series not only goes through them investigating and solving homicide investigations, but it also shows their personal affairs and how they get through all of that.
As this series is also pretty long, there isn’t much that can be said without spoiling every book.
I will say that the series was a fun read overall, and I would recommend it 10/10. The best part is that there is a TV show based on the books as well. I have yet to watch it, but hopefully it’ll be a good adaptation of the books.
With these long book series that could take a while to read, it’s wonderful for you if that’s what you are looking for.
With each series having its own unique story yet all being thrillers, it’s fun knowing that others enjoy James Patterson as much as I do when reading his thriller books.
Now, if nothing is holding you back, get to reading!
If you happen to not have liked any of the series, my best advice is to just try it out. You never know if you might like it, and if you don’t, there will always be more thriller books in the sea. Now go have fun reading.
