3 Doors Down Singer Brad Arnold Shares Emotional Cancer Diagnosis

Brad Arnold of Three Doors Down reveals cancer diagnosis

The lead singer of the band 3 Doors Down has shared truly heartbreaking news via a YouTube video today. After being ill a couple of weeks ago, he recently went to the hospital and received a diagnosis of cancer.

Brad Arnold of 3 Doors Down’s Message

In his emotional video, Arnold revealed that the doctors have diagnosed him with clear cell renal carcinoma, which is a type of kidney cancer. He also shared that it has metastasized into his lung and that it is stage 4. He looks shaken, and that’s certainly understandable. The band is canceling the rest of their tour, which makes perfect sense. He should be focusing on his health and family at this time.

Brad Arnold also shared his faith in God and had a humble request for fans of 3 Doors Down:

“You know what? We serve a mighty God, and he can overcome anything. So I have no fear. I really, sincerely am not scared of it at all. But it is gonna force us to cancel our tour this summer. And we’re sorry for that. And I’d love for you to lift me up in prayer every chance you get. And I think it’s time for me to maybe go listen to ‘It’s Not My Time’ a little bit. Thank you guys so much. God loves you, we love you. See ya.”

Fan comments on the video are supportive and heartfelt, including one who said, “Oncologist here. The treatments for RCC have come a long way in the last decade, and there are some great options that are well tolerated, where patients can live many years. I love your positivity- it truly goes a long way. Praying for you and your family. You got this!”

3 Doors Down
