This year’s so-called 2025 Kids’ Choice Awards definitely entertained and dazzled, just like any other year, with loads of celebrity appearances, epic performances, and, of course, Nickelodeon’s version of slime, painted in the unmistakable green hue.
The event, hosted by one of the greatest Grammy award-winning global music stars of all time, Tyla, celebrated the fan votes for their favorites across television, film, and music. If there was ever a moment that continued to show that Nickelodeon was without a doubt the decoration of the massive summer bash for kids and families, it was this memorable episode of award-winning ceremonies.
Barker Hangar in Santa Monica was buzzing with great energy and excitement, as those last moments of a very slimy, but full of award acceptances as well, turned up into one big party. The vibe at the 2025 Kids’ Choice Awards definitely radiated electric energy, making it one of the biggest must-see events for young audiences across the globe.
Epic Sliming Spectacle Takes Over
Unsurprisingly, the most dominant star of the 2025 Kids’ Choice Awards was the signature green slime. No famous celebrity was a safe haven for any of their drenchings. Hilariously, the pampered drenching of “King of Comedy” and Favorite Movie Actor for “A Minecraft Movie,” Jack Black, couldn’t really be made public without being slimed, to the audience’s delight.
Even global idol Rihanna jetted with a surprise blue slime shower virtually while accepting the first-ever “ICON” Silver Blimp Award first by Nickelodeon. She, in addition to other notable slimings like host Tyla herself and “The Thundermans: Undercover” duo Jack Griffo and Kira Kosarin, forms part of the list of illustrious slimings. Star-Studded Performances Dazzle
Beyond the ooze, the perfors were some phenomenal performances which really constituted a large part of the 2025 Kids’ Choice Awards. Machine Gun Kelly, whose new single “Cliché” was performed with vigor introduced by none other than his own daughter, Casie.
Also reigning was KATSEYE, the now-popular global girl group, wreaking havoc and igniting the crowd as they performed the hyped-up single, “Gnarly.” These acts made the whole awards evening really vibrant, making the 2025 Kids’ Choice Awards one of those memorable experiences.
Fans Crown Top Winners
Since everything happened in the show, one of the biggest winners, Sabrina Carpenter, won three orange blimps: Favorite Album, which was “Short n’ Sweet”; Favorite Female Breakout Artist; and Favorite Song, which was “Taste.” Ariana Grande, taking home Favorite Movie Actress for “Wicked,” also got the award for Favorite Movie.
