Bad Boys: Ride Or Die was released in movie theaters last Friday, June 7th. It’s been four years since the previous film, Bad Boys For Life, came out in 2020. Needless to say, this fourth installment in the action series has surpassed expectations. Like the other films in the series, this stars actors Martin Lawrence and Will Smith.
Many fans were wondering if the duo would bring out another hit film. They received their answer just four days ago. Here is a breakdown of Bad Boys: Ride Or Die!
Bad Boys: Ride Or Die Review
Martin Lawrence and Will Smith have done it again in Bad Boys: Ride Or Die. This time, the numbers may have been higher than the third movie back in 2020. The debut of the newest film made 104.6 million dollars on Friday. It includes both globally in the United States and internationally around the world.
Mike Lowry ties the knot with his wife Christine at the start. As they celebrate the wedding and reception, Marcus passes out after he dances with joy and goes into cardiac arrest. After being hospitalized, he was supposed to sit still and not take on anything strenuous.
While watching the news, both longtime partners find out that their former deceased captain, Howard, has been framed. To track down the cartel, Lowry has to confide in his son, Armando, who knows the name of the man who killed the Bad Boys captain in the previous film.
In the meantime, the captain’s wife is on the other side as she plans to stop the two from escaping with the prisoner. As Lowry and Burnett are transporting the prisoner, the said killer is on the plane with all three of them. Turns out that they go on the run, not labeled as police officers anymore.
Captain Howard Videos Revealed
Obtaining inside intel came from Captain Howard on what Lowry and Burnett had to do to catch the killer. They later had to find files and photo identification of the person. As Mike, Marcus, and Armando go searching, they put their families in danger. Their houses are invaded, and Smith’s wife and the captain’s daughter are taken by the murderer. Reggie (Burnett’s son-in-law) has to use his military tactics to get rid of the intruders.
One of the coworkers in the department is romantically involved with another guy on the force. As she is told by Lowry, they all head out of the country into Cuba. He is found and shot in the end by Lowry since his family was captured early on.
Smith and Lawrence get into shootouts, fall out of helicopters, cars catch on fire, and they even fight with alligators. The action in the movie was intense since some blood was shed. Of course, this is not unusual as it has happened in almost 30 years of watching the two actors on the big screen.
Martin Lawrence Shoots Down Rumors
Out of the two co-stars, Martin Lawrence is the oldest at 59 years old. Health issues had been a concern by fans of the actor, most recently in the last four years after the last release. Last week, the 59-year-old spoke about his health stating, “I’m fine. I’m in God’s hands. I’m blessed, you know? I’m glad to be waking up every day. I’m all good. No need for people to be concerned.”
Seeing that both Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have toured all around the country, it would appear that his health problems are put aside or not a problem based on the words of the actor himself. There is no telling if Lawrence will be in any future films on his own, but Bad Boys: Ride Or Die may be at the top of the box office for many more weeks to come!
There is a reason why they call the film or duo Bad Boys: Ride Or Die, considering the chemistry that both of them have with each other. As they have gotten older, not much has changed. I recommend that you go watch Bad Boys: Ride Or Die. I promise it will not be disappointing if you have seen the other three in years past.
