Exciting MCU Films Hitting 2025

MCU at the Walt Disney Studios Presentation

MCU release dates have been subject to many shuffles and pushbacks post-Endgame. Events such as the 2020 pandemic and last year’s Hollywood strikes forced Disney to change dates repeatedly. Deadpool and Wolverine, the only 2024 MCU, was pushed back to July from its original release in May.

With the trailers and sneak peeks of footage, fans can expect the Multiverse Saga to kick off with Deadpool & Wolverine. We will give updates as things change and new projects are announced. However, 2025 will be an active year for the MCU and the debut of the DCU in theatres.

MCU Captain America: Brave New World: February 14, 2025

With Steve Rodgers (Chris Evans) now retired, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) is helming the shield as Captain America. Tim Blake Nelson will return as Samuel Sterns aka,  The Leader from The Incredible Hulk. Plus, Harrison Ford will replace the late William Hurt as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross. Julius Onah is the director of the film, and it is the fourth Captain America movie.

Recently, an Instagram user named ‘CanWeGetSomeToast’ apparently leaked some footage of the film. Justifiably, Marvel was not happy about the leaked footage surfacing on the account. To take some action, they have turned to the courts to find the scooper responsible for the leak.

MCU Thunderbolts*: May 2, 2025

CIA Director Val (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) recruits supervillains to accomplish missions for the US government. These supervillains include Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), Red Guardian (David Harbour), Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), John Walker (Wyatt Russell), and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan).

Jake Schreier is the director of the movie, and Stan will be returning as Bucky Barnes for the first time since Captain America & The Winter Solider. Baron Zemo recruited the Thunderbolts in the comics to “replace” the Avengers after Onsluaght “killed” them. The Thunderbolts were then defeated by the Avengers after they came back from the dead. As a result, they expelled Zemo and were then guided by Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye.

MCU The Fantastic Four: July 25, 2025

The well-known superhero family will make its debut in the MCU next July. The main cast stars Vanessa Kirby as the Invisible Woman, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the Thing, Joseph Quinn as the Human Torch, and Pedro Pascal as Mr. Fantastic. It is safe to assume that this film will help set up the climax of the Multiverse Saga, considering that Reed Richards played a crucial role in the Secret Wars comics storyline.

Julia Garner will play Shalla-Bal, a version of the Silver Surfer. Additionally, Ralph Ineson was announced to be playing Galactus earlier this month. The film’s setting will take place during the 1960s.

MCU Blade: November 7, 2025

Mahershala Ali will be making his return to the MCU as he plays the half-human half-vampire. However, the upcoming films have had some trouble, from script rewrites to Bassam Tariq leaving the project altogether. The film also had several pushbacks from its original release date of November 3, 2023.

Nothing has been revealed of plot details, so the movie’s plot is still in mystery. However,  there were claims by Marvel leaker Daniel Ricthman that the movie would center on demon sorcerer Lilith going after Blade’s daughter. However, this specific detail hasn’t been confirmed by the studio or those involved in the movie.

Based on Blade’s history in the Marvel comics, it is safe to assume that the storyline will revolve around hunting vampires. Eric Brooks, Blade’s real name, is a human with vampire-like abilities from Deacon Frost feasting on his mom when Brooks was born.

Conclusion

These are the theatrical releases for the MCU for next year. We will give you updates on upcoming projects for the studio when we get them. For now, be on the lookout for the MCU’s only film this year, Deadpool & Wolverine, which will hit theatres on July 26.
