Over the years, many TV shows haven’t gotten the time they deserve on-air or ended without a resolution. Others ran for a long time and could really use a reboot. Most people seem to have a show that they feel didn’t get its fair airtime. As of late, numerous old shows are getting some sort of revival, like Saved By The Bell, Dexter, and Fantasy Island. Whether all of these shows deserve resuscitation or not is a good question. Ranker reached out to its voters and asked which shows deserve to be revived. 1. Grimm

Grimm follows a Portland detective named Nick who’s beginning to realize his ability to see mystical creatures surrounding human. The show ranks very high on IMDb and has hundreds of positive reviews. Both the modernization of fairytales in a dark format and the masterful creature design was impressive. Though there is little discussion of a reboot or spin-off, Ranker voters seem optimistic. One of the 10 Prime Video shows that deserved more.

2. The Expanse

Some shows survive to 20 seasons, some get cancelled after just one, and then there are shows like The Expanse that get a second chance. Cancelled after 3 seasons, it has a huge fan base and so was subject to a mighty online backlash. The Expanse was based on a popular series of novels, and told a sprawling tale of war, conspiracy, survival and hope. It became well known for its quality and to drop it then made no sense. Thankfully Prime took it on and let it run out its story.

3. American Gods

Just imagine having the rights to one of the best pieces of 21st century literature, a book with almost unlimited lore and opportunities for development, and then seemingly cancel it randomly, without warning after the biggest cliffhanger of the entire run. There are rumors of a proposed movie to finish it all off, but there is nothing set in stone. We are destined to never know what came next. You may just have to read the book instead.

4. Truth Seekers

Starring Frost as the leader of his group of “Truth Seekers”, an online blogging group set up to investigate the paranormal, the show delved into the world of the occult, murder, and conspiracy with the kind of modern filmmaking we saw in the Sitcom Spaced, and his Pegg’s Cornetto Trilogy. Audience figures were descent enough, but a lot smaller than Prime expected. The show was cancelled just after one season, and audiences would love to see a reboot.

5. A League of Their Own

Set in 1943, it centered on the formation of the Rockford Peaches, a women’s team in the developing All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. The film was celebrated by audiences and critics alike for its queer characters and also won a GLAAD award for most outstanding new TV series. In August last year Amazon announced that the second season would be scrapped due to delays caused by the Hollywood writers and actors’ strike. As one fan, Raissa, put it when the news was announced: A part of me died when the show was cancelled. The show will be missed by audiences worldwide and figures it should have a reboot.

6. Paper Girls

Based on the comic book series of the same name, Paper Girls followed four young girls who unwittingly became caught in a conflict between warring factions of time-travelers while out delivering papers during the morning after Halloween in 1988. One fan called it a diverse and powerful show that features strong female friendships and relationships’ while another addressed it was baffling it got cancelled so fast. The show was kicked to the curb after one season in September 2022, just two months after it first aired. Indeed, one of the 10 Prime Video shows that deserved more.

7. The Romanoffs

In this one of the 10 Prime Videos that definitely deserve another season, it was a contemporary series set around the globe, centering on separate stories about people who believe themselves to be descendants of the Russian royal family. One viewer wrote, “I do not understand the negative feedback and found the series to be incredibly satisfying and stunning in its ambition. Amazon announced in 2019 that they had no plans for a second season, which viewers loved and wanted to watch more.

8.Utopia

Utopia followed a group of young adults and a boy who got hold of a cult underground comic book, which not only pins them as the target of a shadowy organization but also burdens them with the dangerous task of saving the world. Utopia was cancelled two months after it launched in 2022. One fan said, “Even though they wrapped up a bunch of story lines by the end of the season, there were loose ends left for future seasons, and would love to watch another season” but it’s still worth the watch!

9. Carnival Row

In this one of the 10 Prime Video Shows, Carnival Row followed mythological beings who must survive as oppressed refuges in human society, as a detective worked to solve murders connected to them. In February 2023, Amazon had announced plans for a third season had been scrapped. Fans loved the show when they watched the first season. Fan Angelo said that he did not know that the show was cancelled and loved watching the show very much and was hoping for a third season.

10. Sneaky Pete

In the last of the 10 Prime Video shows, the American crime drama follows Marius Josipovic (Giovanni Ribisi), a released convict who adopts the identity of his cellmate, Pete Murphy, to avoid his past life. The series had many fans, one of whom, name Micheal, wrote: ” I got hooked on Sneaky Pete quickly and binged the entire season. The story line and character development were amazing. Casting was on point as well. Another called it “truly one of a kind”. Fans said they were looking forward to season 4 and more adventures.
