At the 2009 VMAs, Kanye West<\/a> interrupted one of Swift’s acceptance speeches to insist that Beyonc\u00e9 was more deserving of the award Swift had received. Other VMAs have also had other notable events occur, including Britney Spears’ iconic performance with a live python and Madonna’s shocking performance of her song “Like a Virgin” at the first-ever VMAs.<\/p>\n
