Star Wars Ahsoka Season 2

Star Wars Fans Get Big Release Update for the Next Live-Action Series on Disney+

As “Star Wars” fans await the release of “The Mandalorian and Grogu,” they might be wondering when the next live-action series or season is coming. Disney hit a home run with “Andor,” so the expectations will be high. However, with the franchise concentrating once again on the big screen, it might be a while before we see a new live-action installment on the small screen.

When Will the Next Live-Action Star Wars Season Come?

The only current “Star Wars” live-action show with an upcoming season is “Ahsoka,” which follows the adventures of Anakin Skywalker’s padawan, Ahsoka Tano, after the Rebellion’s victory over the Empire. While the show’s first season received mixed reception, fans have been buzzing about the second season.

A tweet from the “Mandoverse Updates” account, dated on October 29th, quoted the show’s lead actress, Rosario Dawson, celebrating the wrap-up of Season 2’s filming. She stated:

“It’s a wrap! it was thrilling to sign and gift nearly 1k of these epic displate magnetic metal posters to our incredibly hardworking crew of ‘Ahsoka’ Season 2… the force is strong with this team. Enjoy a little piece of the galaxy until we meet again”

All Right, Filming’s Done, Now When Do We Get Ahsoka Season 2?

Paul Tassi of Forbes believes that, based on the length of time between “Ahsoka” Season 1’s filming and release, Season 2 might not come out until August or September. As he states:

“Ahsoka season 1 wrapped filming in October 2022 and aired in August 2023, 10 months later. So, if Ahsoka season 2 wrapped today, it will likely air somewhere around August/September 2026.”

If he is right, it may be a while before we see the further adventures of the fan-favorite former Jedi and the crew from “Star Wars Rebels.” Some may call this ridiculous, but this would also mean that there is plenty of time to polish the season up for high quality. Given how much the “Star Wars” fanbase loves to complain, Disney might want to polish the show up as much as possible.

What Do Star Wars Fans Do In The Meantime?

Right now, the franchise wants to migrate back to the big screen, which is where it has always truly lived. In May, “The Mandalorian and Grogu” releases, which will further chronicle the lives of Din Djarin and the adorable Grogu. Since Ahsoka has appeared in “The Mandalorian” DIsney+ show, she might even make an appearance in the movie.
